MISSION
1、 Lead and perform developments and studies of tire related Vehicle Dynamics technologies from both modeling and testing points of view.
2、 Support of tire development programs (Replacement and OE).
3、 Drive the Vehicle Dynamics center of competencies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1、 Improve the current state of the art (tools, methods, knowledge, ...)
2、 Support tire designers (RE and OE) engineers and OEM with tire performances predictions and analysis
3、 Support OEM projects with virtual submission with FTire or equivalent models
4、 Assume and take the technical responsibility in some projects requiring Vehicle Dynamics expertise (pre-development for new tire brands, key OE projects…)
ACTIVITIES
1、 Drive and coach junior engineers working on Vehicle Dynamics related research projects
2、 Manage and handle Vehicle Dynamics requests and studies, analyze and validate both tests and prediction data
3、 Analyze technical problems and choose the most suitable tools for the solution
4、 Provide inputs to define the DOE (design of experiments) to tire designers (RE and OE) and maintain technical requirements database
5、 Regularly document and communicate the Vehicle Dynamics deliverables
? Participate in the validation of new design/simulation Vehicle Dynamics tools and deploy them within a defined perimeter (e.g., RFQ for 3rd party)
6、 Organize the capitalization of knowledge and know-how of Vehicle Dynamics (documentation, data base, Vehicle Dynamics related design guidelines, …)
7、 Actively participate to Design Event related to new product development and key OE projects
PRE-REQUIREMENT
1、 At least master degree in mechanical or related engineering field
2、 Minimum 5 years of recent relevant experience in tire industry
3、 Deep understanding of vehicle dynamics testing (indoor and outdoor) and prediction methods
4、 Good knowledge of tire specification, tire design
5、 Familiar with FEA analysis is a plus
6、 Good level of English (written and spoken)
